ELGIN – Man’s hunting cased FANCY DIAL gold filled size 16 pocket watch in well running condition. Beautiful and fine cream, white and silver fancy porcelain dial with black kite style hands. Elegant black fancy Arabic numbers. Sub seconds at number 6 position. Very minor and unnoticeable hairline. Nicely damascened 17 jewel ¾ plate movement signed Elgin National Watch Co. USA. All held in an Art Deco engraved 25 year warranted Crescent case with floral details surrounding a house on back and open shield surrounded by leaves on front. 50 mm diameter.

BRITISH - STERLING SILVER-RARE open faced pocket watch with black center sweep seconds. 15 Jewel, ¾ plate, stem wind, lever set running well. Perfect porcelain double sunk dial is original with black Roman numerals, and black minute markers and original silver spade pointers. 53 mm diameter. Sweep seconds models are very rare and this one is in excellent condition and was possibly used as a “Doctor’s Watch”. Heavy sterling silver case is fully hallmarked.

ELGIN MILITARY POCKET WATCH FOR ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY
17 jewel size 16 well running beautiful gilded movement signed and numbered 4142955x. Nickel silver case with some wear to back but still a great looking military watch. Stem wound and stem set. Excellent original black dial with off white Arabic numbers and white pointers. Sunk sub seconds dial at number six position. Back of case shows wear and scratching, but it is a military watch that was no doubt used. Military arrow with letters RCN and number 204 on back.

STERLING SILVER 39mm open faced key wind pocket watch. Gilded Swiss cylinder three finger bridge movement, just serviced. Excellent enamel dial with black Roman numerals trimmed with gold on the top and bottom of each chapter and a gold circle in the middle of this dial makes this a most attractive and collectible watch. Gold spade pointers. Back of silver double hinged case nicely engraved all over with leaves and curls. Open shield in center for initialing. Some minor wear to back of case, but overall very good looking. Original beveled glass crystal.

Blued spade pointers and sub seconds at number six position. Very thin short hairline does not detract from this great watch, 14 Jewel ¾ plate gilt movement signed Gaskin. Dublin with number 77097. Running crisply and on time. 49mm diameter.

SWISS – GOLIATH POCKET WATCH – open faced stem wound and pin set in excellent condition and running well. Argentan case has a hinged inner dust cover protecting a 15 jewel bridge movement. This truly is a giant watch at 68mm in diameter. The white enamel dial has bold black Roman numbers and blued spade pointers surrounded by gold five minute dots making this a very attractive watch. Sub seconds dial at number six position.The case is plain and smooth with some minor spots of discoloration A nice huge watch from the 1800’s.

15 Jewel size 16 unadjusted well running lined movement. Silver nickel case in fair to good condition for this military watch. Stem wound and stem set. White excellent dial with heavy black Arabic numbers and sub seconds at number 6 position. Heavy black spade pointers. This Swiss watch made for the Canadian forces. Back of case has a couple of mild dings, military arrow and C – 6874. Movement signed Swiss and coded Girard-Perregaux.

Movement numbered 65737 also signed Grinberg & Reichman, Western Road, Brighton. Solid Sterling silver London hallmarked case with open shield on back in very good condition with only a minor tiny dig on edge. Diameter 48mm. Good looking medium sized pocket watch can be worn daily or for dress occasions.

HOWARD SERIES 11 RAILROAD CHRONOMETER – Size 16 open faced pocket watch from a very original and innovative company, E. Howard, one of the original founders of the Boston Watch Company. It eventually became the American Waltham Watch Company and then Howard started his own company. Howard cleverly produced his own line of extremely distinct and innovative watches and was the first company to produce stem wind watches in the US.
This watch is a rare Howard Series 11 Railroad Chronometer with an absolutely stunning movement! This sparkling and well running nickel movement has 21 jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions and is stem wind and lever set. Beautiful and almost perfect single sunk white original Montgomery railroad dial with bold black Arabic numbers and blue steel spade hands. The very faintest of tiny hairline almost unnoticeable without a loupe at number 10.
Heavy and beautifully polished gold filled fine Keystone case signed “E. Howard Watch Company Boston” in excellent condition. Smooth, clean and highly polished with no markings or initials on back. This is a rare and stunning railroad collectible from WWI era.
